  • Calculate Neutral Earthing Transformer X/R Ratio
  • Calculate Fault current through Neutral (single line to ground fault) (If)
  • Calculate Rating of Neutral Earthing Transformer (P).

    Sir, I m working for a govt utility and we r having a 220/132/33KV Grid S/S which has a main-1 &Main 2 Bus System with One and half breaker system for 220KV lines.Recently we had a system disturbance on 220KV System.Due to bus-fault on Bus-1 all the breakers tripped on Bus Zone 1 Realy operating.But on Bus 2 none of the breakers tripped at the Substation end but the feeders tripped on other end.So all the 220KV feeders tripped and system disturbance occured.But I m confused how on busfault on one bus the feeders on other Bus tripped at other end .Kindly reply soon.     Sir, we are planed to installed zigzag trafo for neutral grounding at 7.5 mva Dd0 secondary load side what iss the size of zigzag trafo requied and at how much cueent we have to restricte earth fault level please let me clear.

    My query is how to decide or is there any calculation which decides i should go with zigzag Tansformer or three winding transformer selection and its capacity calculation?
    Basis for neutral grounding transformer selection.
